This (we think) is the most important step in creating a unique glamping-style accommodation. This is where you can let your imagination run wild and to express a sense of self in a beautiful interior layout.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Considerations for building your interior:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Design and construct the internal layout of your Glampex Dome to provide a cosy and functional space for your guests. This section will cover interior walls, mezzanines, loft spaces, and installation of essential rooms such as kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and lounge spaces. We will also discuss incorporating fireplaces to keep the interior warm during colder months.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Inclusions<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The bathroom unit is included in the base quotation. All other features, furnishings, and installations\u2014such as heating, cooling, furniture, and customization options\u2014are available as additional offers and can be tailored to your specific needs.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

1) Interior Walls, Mezzanines, and Loft Spaces<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In many cases, it’s worth creating separate rooms within the Dome using partition walls or lofts to make the most of the interior space. These can be built from lightweight materials, such as plasterboard mounted on a wooden frame or modular panels.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lofts or upper-level lounge areas offer extra sleeping or relaxation space. These require support beams and suitable flooring. It\u2019s important to install safe railings along the edges.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since these internal walls are typically non-load-bearing (except when constructing an upper floor), they don’t need to be overly complex. Their main functions are dividing the space and housing mechanical systems (like plumbing or electrical conduits). They must, however, withstand moderate pressure\u2014such as someone leaning against them.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2) Kitchens<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A basic kitchen should include a refrigerator, a cooktop, and a sink\u2014preferably compact and energy-efficient versions. Storage and work surfaces should be made from easy-to-clean, practical materials like stainless steel or laminated surfaces.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are three typical glamping kitchen setups:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. No indoor kitchen<\/strong>: Glamping is about outdoor experiences, so the kitchen can be set up outside, allowing guests to cook in nature.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Small kitchenette or sink inside the dome<\/strong>: An ideal solution when the main cooking area is outside or in a shared space. It reduces cleaning time while still maintaining a close-to-nature feeling.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Fully equipped kitchen<\/strong>: In larger domes, there’s room for a full kitchen, but attention must be paid to cleaning and controlling food odors.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Whatever you choose, just remember to consider the time spent cleaning, your budget and of course, what your client actually wants out of their stay on your property.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    3) Bathrooms<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Plan a bathroom equipped with a shower, toilet, and sink, using durable, water-resistant materials such as tiles or ceramic flooring.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Bathroom layouts may vary:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Indoor bathroom<\/strong>: Offers a luxury experience and is especially practical in cold or rainy weather, as guests don’t need to go outside.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Mixed solution<\/strong>: The toilet and sink are indoors, while the shower is outdoors\u2014guests can enjoy nature while maintaining comfort.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Separate outdoor or shared bathroom<\/strong>: A cost-effective option for smaller domes, though it offers less privacy.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      To manage bathroom odors and humidity, ensure effective ventilation with an exhaust fan and well-designed plumbing\u2014just like in a traditional home.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Glampex Bathroom Cabin<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      The Glampex bathroom cabin, designed specifically for our domes, is a compact, space-saving solution that fits perfectly into the dome\u2019s interior proportions. It can be assembled within a few hours using a detailed guide\u2014except for connecting to water and sewage systems, which must be done by a qualified contractor.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Structure and Design<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      The cabin stands on a base with adjustable feet and a drainage rim, making it compatible with any flooring. The interior is divided into two separate areas:

      \u25cf A separate space equipped with a sink, toilet, mirror, and towel rack<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The cabin has four walls:
      \u25cf Two tiled-effect side walls
      \u25cf Two frosted tempered glass panels, one of which serves as a sliding door entrance<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      A sliding glass door also separates the two internal areas.
      The top aluminum roof panel includes an integrated exhaust fan and lighting, operated via a wall-mounted switch at a convenient height.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Ordering the cabin is optional, but highly recommended for customers hosting multiple guests in a dome.
      Its main advantage:<\/strong> the cabin is a sealed, odor-ventilated unit that significantly increases comfort in a single-space dome. Unlike a simple partitioned toilet, this fully enclosed cabin with ventilation efficiently controls unpleasant odors and sounds\u2014which is especially important when multiple people are sharing the dome.
      Another benefit:<\/strong> the cabin is movable and easy to position, simplifying the dome\u2019s interior layout while aesthetically matching the overall design.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Features like thermostats, air conditioning, or easily controlled lighting add extra comfort.
      The bedroom is usually best placed on the mezzanine or near the dome’s panoramic section.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The living area is often positioned opposite the bedroom, facing the panoramic view so both rooms can enjoy the scenery. A fireplace also adds warmth and ambiance.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      It\u2019s important to provide guests with enough storage for their luggage and essentials such as towels, bedding, and cleaning supplies.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      7) Air Conditioning & Heating<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      For year-round comfort in your dome, we recommend a 3.5\u202fkW inverter air conditioning unit. Inverter ACs are energy-efficient and ideal for glamping domes\u2014they provide reliable cooling during summer and can also be used for heating in colder months.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      8) Internal flooring<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Flooring significantly influences the interior atmosphere. The most popular choices include laminate or floating floors, but vinyl, carpet, or even polished concrete are also possible. Flooring is not part of the base package, so you have creative freedom here.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
